The 1st International Symposium on Advanced Synthesis and Processing Technology for Materials (ASPT08) will be held in November 14-17, 2008, at Wuhan University of Technology in Wuhan, China. ASPT08 will cover recent outstanding advancements in synthesis and processing of inorganic materials using non-traditional technologies such as SHS, SPS, mechanical alloying, wet chemistry, aerosol deposition and techniques involving laser, microwave, plasma, electron beam and high-field magnetron etc. Topic will include the following three main areas.

Low dimensional materials

nano particles 

fiber or whisker 

film or coating

Materials with designed structures

functionally graded materials 

layered materials

materials with core/shell structures

Ceramics

non-oxide structural ceramics

multifunctional ceramics and composites

electronic, magnetic and optical materials
